Want to help me win a t-shirt contest?

There are some things about myself I don’t usually tell people when I first meet them. For example, I usually don’t start conversations with strangers by saying, “My name’s Derek. Did you know I can lick my nose?” Or, “Guess what? I write fantasy novels in my spare time.”

Well, another thing I don’t tell most people I meet (unless they know me well enough) is that I’m a huge Star Trek fan.

So why am I telling the Internet? Well . . . just in case you weren’t convinced that I’m a huge nerd already, my Star Trek nerdiness extends to the point of creating designs for a t-shirt contest.

I could try to explain this away by saying that I’m poor and saw an opportunity for free money. Yeah, I wouldn’t be too convinced by that either (well, except for the being poor part). The truth is, I love Star Trek, and I love designing stuff using the Adobe Creative Suite.

So here are my t-shirt designs. Feel free to go to the website welovefine.com, create an account, and rate my designs. It’s based on a scale of one to five, one being the lowest and five being the highest. There are a lot of cool t-shirt designs on the site and I can’t truthfully say mine’s the best.
